I would like to enroll my child in the leisure program

Leisure centers, also known as ALSH (Accueil de Loisirs Sans Hébergement), are open to children aged 3 to 12, on Wednesdays and during school vacations.

They enable all children to discover and practice new activities (manual, artistic, sporting, multimedia), have fun and socialize. They are real places of awakening and blossoming thanks to the edutainment activities carried out by the teams and their pedagogical projects.

Montpellier has 21 municipal leisure centers and 21 associative leisure centers.

To book, you must have access to the Prest'O family portal. This right is systematic during school registration.

Your child is not enrolled in a public school in the City? You'll need to create your family file.

Billing

Since February 15, 2025, pay your bills:

• online at the PREST'O portal,
• at PREST'O counters at the Town Hall,
• at local town halls (check or credit card only)

Payment methods accepted: cash, bank checks, credit cards, ANCV, direct debit.

New waiting list service:

• Consultez régulièrement le portail PREST'O, car des places peuvent se libérer suite à des cancellations avant la période du "D-10"
• Inscrivez-vous sur le nouveau E-service de liste d'attente. Places that become available within the "D-10" period will be offered to waiting list registrants in order of registration. Places must be accepted within 48 hours.
• Please contact the local leisure centers available.

Parents can enroll their children in the leisure center of their choice, regardless of where they live in Montpellier (subject to availability and age requirements).

Half-day care is possible, except in the case of exceptional programming of an all-day activity.

Registration for the whole week may exceptionally be required due to a pedagogical project led by a leisure center.

• Up to 10 days before Wednesdays and 10 days before the start of a vacation period: modify on the portal your booking without charge or billing.
• Less than 10 days before:
  • Inform the extracurricular educational manager of the absence
  • Notify the absence within 7 days to Service Prest'O at presto@montpellier.fr to avoid being billed (refer to the regulations for the list of acceptable supporting documents)

Please note: after 3 unjustified absences, the place may be offered to another child.

For Wednesdays in November, December and the end-of-year holidays

You can make payment by check payable to the Régie des Centres de Loisirs, cash, vacation vouchers and credit card.

For Wednesdays and vacations 2025

You receive a single invoice on the 15th of the following month for the leisure center and extracurricular activities (operation identical to the extracurricular activities).

A fairer fee schedule

Since September 2023, a single fee schedule has applied to all families: day rates range from €5.50 to €17.90, depending on the family quotient calculated by the CAF.

School canteen: a €0.50 rate has been introduced for families in very precarious circumstances: single parents (lone parents) and RSA recipients, homeless parents or refugees.

Since 2023, the City of Montpellier has implemented a fairer and more supportive progressive pricing system for non-hosted leisure centers (ALSH). With the reform, more than one family in 2 has seen its rate reduced, particularly the most modest households.

• Day rates

Rates range from €5.50 to €17.90 depending on the family quotient. By way of comparison, day rates at association-based ALSH range from €5.80 to €27.

• School canteen rates

Meal prices range from €1.35 to €6.55 depending on family quotient. The €0.50 rate for families in great precariousness (single parents and RSA recipients, homeless parents or refugees) is maintained.

Where to find my family quotient?

• You're affiliated with CAF

Your family quotient is updated automatically once a year, in the summer.

You only need to inform the Prest'O service if you change your CAF number or the name attached to your CAF file, by sending us your updated certificate.

If your situation changes (new child, marriage, divorce, hiring, job loss), your family quotient will evolve. Contact CAF services as soon as possible so that your new situation can be taken into account to calculate your new family quotient. Inform the Prest'O services of your change of situation so that your rate is updated from the date of information from the CAF services.

• You are not affiliated to the CAF

Apply to the Prest'O service, which calculates the CAF family quotient on the basis of proof of resources and family composition.

If your situation changes, you can contact the Prest'O service directly, who will inform you of the supporting documents you need to present in order to take your new situation into account and update your rate.

For associative leisure centers, registration is made with the structure. Rates are set by each management structure, based on a social pricing scale. Contact the centers to find out about daily rates.

The price of meals provided by the city ranges from €1.35 to €6.55, depending on the family quotient.
