The Mission Sécurité Civile, an integral part of Montpellier's Pôle des Sécurités et de la Tranquillité Publique, is responsible for preventing and managing major risks : inondations, forest fires, canicule or hazardous materials accidents.

It aims to make Montpellier a resilient city, where every inhabitant actively contributes to prevention and safety, placing citizens at the heart of its action, civil security strengthens their preparedness and ability to react to major events.
