Domaine de Grammont

Temps de lecture : 1 minute

At the heart of a winegrowing landscape, the estate's pine forests, oak groves and vast meadows make up one of the city's largest green spaces. From the 17th century onwards, it was a favored site for botanical studies by the Faculty of Medicine and eminent botanists including Pierre Magnol, Auguste Broussonnet and Antoine Gouan.

Of the 12th-century monastery remains the chapter house, now a wedding hall. The château's park is home to a majestic Lebanese cedar planted around 1810. The estate is also home to the municipal greenhouses, the metropolitan cemetery and numerous sports and cultural facilities including the Zenith, the Théâtre des Treize Vents.
