Domaine de Méric

A summer residence in the 19th century for the family of painter Fréderic Bazille, the Domaine de Méric inspired his finest canvases for the painter, who was one of the precursors of Impressionism.

Other Bazille family figures, agronomists and botanists, have contributed to the estate's greatness in connection with the Jardin des plantes since the creation of the métairie in the 17th.
