
The Parc d'Arménie, accompanying Montpellier city hall, is located along the River Lez. Created in 2010 in parallel with the construction of the town hall, it features a fairly varied topography with high sectors: embankments, riprap and terraces and lower sectors topographically composed of retention basins and ditches.
This park is included in the town's green and blue framework as an element of continuity of the Lez riparian zone. Indeed the Lez and its bank vegetation forming major ecological corridor of the city.
7 types of vegetation are present in the park: Jardin précieux (rose garden, climbers and perennial beds), Bosquets méditerranéens : composed of local shrub species (Cistus albidus, Cistus salvifolius, Lavandula sp, Myrtus communis, Phillyrea angustifolia, Pistacia lentiscus, Pistacia terebinthus, Rhamnus alaternus, Buplerum fruticosum, Rosmarinus officinalis, Spartium juceum), Wooded meadows, Meadow and wet ditches.
