Green Spaces in Condominiums: What Are the Best Practices?

On Saturday, April 18, ALEC Montpellier Métropole and FREDON Occitanie invite you to a technical workshop dedicated to the sustainable management of green spaces in condominiums. Are you a co-owner, a member of a management council, or a property manager looking to improve the maintenance of your condominium's green spaces while respecting the environment and biodiversity? This workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn more! The Role of Green Spaces in Condominiums Green spaces play a key role in the quality of life in condominiums. Gardens, hedges, and vegetated areas contribute to: naturally cooling buildings during hot periods, enhancing urban biodiversity, improving the comfort and well-being of co-owners, increasing the value of real estate. In a context marked by more frequent drought episodes and regular water restrictions, it becomes essential to adopt water-efficient maintenance practices: choosing plants suited to the local climate, reducing watering needs... EXHIBITION - GERARD ZLOTYKAMIEN - THE SORTING

THE SORTING - GÉRARD ZLOTYKAMIEN From March 7 to April 18, 2026 The exhibition The Sorting by Gérard Zlotykamien offers a direct and striking reflection on how our contemporary societies engage in forms of human selection. Through his works, the artist sheds light on the often-invisible mechanisms that lead to sorting, classifying, and hierarchizing individuals. These processes, whether social, economic, or cultural, determine who is included, valued, or, conversely, marginalized. The exhibition thus invites the viewer to become aware of these logics of inclusion and exclusion, and to question their place in our daily lives.

Exhibition "Away for a few centuries, and then return"

Sara OUHADDOU is an artist who lives and works in France and Morocco. In her artistic practice, she explores traditional know-how while always aiming to trace the original history of each craft studied: its gestures, its circulations, its influences. In the face of archaeological objects from the ancient Mediterranean world, her gaze overlays another geography: that of the Arab world, the North African Mediterranean, migrations, and ancient dialogues between the two shores. She adds an unprecedented collaboration with the museum team, drawing inspiration from the intimate relationship maintained daily with the objects, often far from the public eye. In this exhibition, conceived as a role-playing game where the researcher becomes the artist, the artist researcher, the curator director, the explorer curator, and the archaeological artisan, she places knowledge at the service of creation, in order to nourish the works and extend the movement of objects through time. An exhibition produced in partnership with MO.CO Montpellier Contemporain. Hours: Weekdays: 10 AM - 12 PM and 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: 2 PM - 6 PM until March 31, 2026 2 PM - 7 PM from April 1 to August 31, 2026 Closed on Tuesdays, May 1, July 14, and August 15.

Exhibition "Microcosms" by Montpellier artist Sarah Delanchy

The Espace Saint-Ravy is pleased to host, from April 4 to April 26, 2026, the exhibition Microcosms, featuring a selection of works by artist Sarah Delanchy. Through these works, the artist explores the connections between architecture, humanity, and territory. Her creations question our relationship with space — whether geographical or constructed — in a world that is constantly transforming. OPENING RECEPTION FRIDAY, APRIL 3 AT 6:30 PM Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The exhibition Microcosms showcases the works created by artist Sarah Delanchy over several years, with territory as the guiding thread. The journey begins with an exploration of the world of cartography. Designed as a sensitive and artistic object, the map becomes a tool that reflects an era in the face of a world that moves forward and transforms, sometimes leaving no traces of its history. Alongside this cartographic work, Sarah Delanchy presents ceramic pieces produced in collaboration with Sète ceramist Anaïs Dezarnaud. By revisiting the ancient amphora, these works provide a contemporary perspective on artifacts from the past. The exhibition continues with a series of engravings from the artist's latest travel sketchbook, created on the roads of Norway in 2024. Translating a more direct and immediate relationship with territories, these works capture moments, places, and viewpoints. They evoke the grandeur and solitude of Nordic landscapes, contrasting with her more urban representations, while continuing her reflection on travel and journey. Finally, a last section is dedicated to her commissioned illustration works, focusing on the City of Montpellier. Each illustration is accompanied by research and sketches, revealing a process that not only represents but also questions architecture, history, and urban identity. "With my Rotring and Chinese ink, I work to recreate extremely detailed microcosms in the form of plans, aerial views, axonometry, or perspective cuts. Like a 'Where's Waldo?', these drawings aim to explore scale relationships, the links between architecture, humanity, and territory, and to represent life and its possibilities in constructed or unconstructed space." Sarah Delanchy Biography Graduating from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Est in 2017, Sarah Delanchy has dedicated several years to illustration. Her architectural training continues to influence her work: her illustrations are infused with city, architecture, and landscape. In 2019, the artist won the "ArchiGraphicArts 6" competition in Moscow in the category "Drawing for Architectural Project". In 2020, she received the Jury Prize at the "Architecture Drawing Prize" in the category "Hand Drawing". Her map of Dublin was exhibited at the Sir John Soane Museum in London. In 2024, she created the greeting card for Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole. In 2025, she participated in an artistic residency with the Altémed Foundation in the Montpellier Sud district, allowing her to give a new dimension to her cartographic work by working in situ with residents. Sarah Delanchy now collaborates with public institutions, businesses, and individuals.
