"INTELLIGENCE(S)": focus on the 2025 theme

Every day, the news highlights the performance but also the dangers of the spectacular development of artificial intelligence (AI). At the center of fierce global competition, AI is making inroads into every field, opening the doors to a new revolution. Now "smarter" than humanity, could the machine one day surpass it? But what kind of intelligence are we talking about?

Intelligence has long been seen as a human attribute. At the beginning of the 20th century, intelligence became palpable, almost mathematical, with the introduction of the concept of intelligence quotient. Intelligence was then summed up in numbers.

The latest scientific advances demonstrate that it exists in forms as varied as they are nuanced. From the behavior of cells to the astonishing abilities of plants, from the cognitive prowess of animals to the emergence of AI, the notion of intelligence manifests itself in multiple ways and challenges our thinking.
